Yes folks, The Mighty I H Only desert racing Scout beat the desert again. After seven hours and fifty three minutes Mike and his co-pilot John Vogelsang Jr. braved the treacherous course. With no one entered in class 800, we were forced to enter a class called 1400. Our number for the race... 1420. Two minutes into the first lap some wannabee racer smashed into the back of us destroying the back our race truck.

Not letting him get away unscathed Mike cranked the wheel to the left and cleaned off the side of their race truck pitching them into the desert and letting them no we don't take kindly to this kind of racing. Half way through lap four got a flat front. Changed it and continued on. With the clock running down we raced as hard as we could. Lap six at mile 19 we broke a front right main leaf spring. With the spring resting on the frame and no spare in my back pocket we limped the mighty We Race Farm Equipment(tm) back to the finish line with seven minutes left on the clock. This is the 16 consecutive finish without a DNF(did not finish). No other Desert Racer in the world can boast this record. It can only be set in a Scout II. The most durable 4x4 ever built. Stay tuned for the next race.
