Thought I'd see if there is any interest
I have a really nice 1997 Chevrolet Suburban. It started out as a 1/2 ton 4x4 LT. With leather, and power everything. Then about two years ago, it was lifted, a 3/4 ton front installed, these come with a 14SF rear and 8 lug parts, as well as 3/4 ton brakes stock. The lift is a 4", I'm not sure which type. It is running on a set of Wildcat A/T's in 285/75/R16 load range D. It in nice shape as you can see in the pictures. It runs down the road straight and smooth. The windshield is cracked, I will replace it with a full price offer. It's parked on a hill in the pictures, so sorry if it's not level, I can get more pictures if folks are interested. As far as upgrades go, it has a Heath Diesel fuel controller, mounted in front of the left bumper vent to keep from overheating. It's on a HUGE heatshrink, and it's warrantied for seven years, that was new in December. It runs and drives great. Has 40 psi of oil pressure driving down the highway, 30 idling and 60 during warm up. The speedo is about 5% off, reading lower than you are actually going. Adjusting for that, it gets anywhere from 16-18 mpg. It has a 42 gallon tank, so it can go a long way between fuel ups. It has the 4L80E trans that was rebuilt prior to the lift in 05 (I have no paperwork on this, just a promise from the previous owner as he rebuilt it, he owned an offroad shop), but it shifts better than most of the 4L80's I've driven. It shifts nice and smooth. The push button 4x4 works great. This does not have auto 4x4, just 2wd, 4wd, and Lo. It works fine. Tires have approx 15K on them, and still have the nipples on them. They have very little wear and should last another 40-50K easy. I'm asking $5000, I think that's very reasonable. You can call xxx-xxx-xxxx with questions. It's located at Beale AFB, which is just a few miles outside of Marysville, CA, which is about an hour north of Sacramento. I can help with delivery. Thanks for looking! ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see that tags are good till Aug 08, has a free, clear, and clean title, just ready for your signature. I would be willing to do a partial trade for a decent Scout II. Last edited by ihochad : 08-11-2008 at 01:18 PM. |

6.5 Turbo, it has 197K, but it doesn't smoke, starts up immediately, and pulls great. Pulled a 91 Suburban to Redding and got about 13 mpg. Lots of torque, the turbo spools up nice. I'm only selling it because I miss wheelin, and for my DD I need a pickup to move stuff around.
I should also mention, the oil spots in the picture are not from this vehicle. This one has no leaks. |

This needs to go, I'm going to be deploying this fall and would rather not have it sit while I'm gone.
Please no more fake checks either. I've got a total of five so far.

Another couple things.
Doublechecked the alternator and it was replaced early 04. Had the A/C compressor clutch bearing go out late last night, so it's got a new compressor, oil and refrigerant. I've had a few interested, but no serious buyers yet.

You won't regret this one, it's a really nice Burb. Perfect for hauling your Scout to the trail, or pulling the boat to the lake.
The ability to haul 9 folks in a lifted 4x4 vehicle that gets around 18mpg is a nice feature. Not to mention, diesel prices went down twice in Marysville in the last two weeks while gas went higher. It would also be easy to convert this to a bio-diesel if you had the room to store and prep the fuel. xxx-xxx-xxxx if you have any questions or to schedule a test drive.
